He was born in Istanbul. He graduated from Başkent Academy of Communication Sciences. He started his modeling and acting career by shooting his first commercial in 1980.

He acted in many TV series, movies and commercials throughout his professional acting career. He made his name known to large audiences in Turkey and abroad, especially with the TV series "Adını Feriha Koydum".

He also appeared in many TV series such as “Asmalı Konak”, “Melekler Adası”, “Belalı Balsız”, “Gümüş”, “Yaprak Dökümü”, “Genco”, “Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu”, “Küçük Kadınlar”, “Umutsuz Ev Kadınları”, “Kırgın Çiçekler”, “Kardeşlerim” and “Yasak Elma”.

“Kısık Ateşte 15 Dakika”, “Bir Avuç Deniz”, “Kod Adı: K.O.Z.”, “Elli Kelimelik Mektuplar” are some of the long feature movies he co-starred. He also played in the TV movies “Kızım İçin”, “Sonbahar”, “Aşk Beklemez”.
