Ece Hakim (b. 10 June 1998) Actress
Ece Hakim is a Turkish actress who started her professional acting career with the critically acclaimed movie “Anlat Istanbul” in 2004. She gained national recognition as a child actress for starring as Naz in “Yağmur Zamanı” in 2005. With an extensive career in TV since her childhood years, Hakim performed in Turkey’s most-watched series such as “Gece Gündüz”, “Avrupa Yakası”, “Aşk ve Ceza”, and the Turkish adaptation of Desperate Housewives, “Umutsuz Ev Kadınları”.
From 2015 to 2018, she played “Zeyno Çakırbeyli”, the daughter of the mafia king in the popular TV series “Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz”. She left the series to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Harvard College.
During her years at Harvard, she starred in various plays such as Magda Fertacz’s “Absinthe”, Sophocles’ “Electra” and David Henry Hwang’s “M. Butterfly” — for which she had the chance to work with BD Wong. “Electra” went on an international tour in 2019, and Hakim performed the play in Istanbul, Berlin and London. Lastly, she played a supporting character in the Company ONE and American Repertory Theatre co-production Greater Good.
