Mediha Didem Türemen (10 June 1982) Actress, Performer

She was born in Kuşadası in 1982. During her entire education from a young age, she received many awards in the field of painting and literature, took part in theater groups. During her education at Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations, she received acting training from many institutions and artists, as well as SBF Theater Group.

 

The first prize she received with the short film script she wrote in 2005 brought with her the start of her cinema education and experience, filming this script and then entering the cinema industry professionally. During this period,s he participated in many workshops on cinema at home and abroad, and received photography training from IFSAK (Istanbul Photography and Cinema Amateurs Association). In 2006, she started her master's degree at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Cinema TV department.

 

After AFIC (Audiovisual Financing & Commercialisation), which was invited to Paris Sorbonne University in 2008 and realized only with producers and directors; she made the production design and international festival relations of the cinema movie “Two Lines” directed by Selim Evci, which she participated in the project from the scenario stage. The movie premiered at the 65th Venice Film Festival and was screened in 23 countries.

 

In 2011, as a result of the actress selections made for the Venice Biennale - 41st Venice International Theater Festival, she took part in the 'Envidia' game directed by the Spanish theater and opera director Calixto Bieito.

 

She starred in front of the camera as 'Eleni', the leading character of Selim Evci's 2012 film "Winds," and was the art director of the film.

 

In this process, art; she continued her studies in photography, painting and engraving. In September 2013, she opened her first personal engraving and photography exhibition in Istanbul, then she was invited to the IX Florentine Biennial, with her engravings among 450 artists, she was awarded the Lorenzo il Magnifico award and received an invitation from the Roman Triennial.

 

In 2014, she was the art director of the movie “Saklı”, which was shot in the winter months. She continues her works in the field of fine arts and photography in front of and behind the camera in Istanbul.
